It made me sad when I heard this recently.
Making art is a reward in itself.
When we compare ourselves to experts, we despair and give up.
“Comparison is the thief of joy”
Joy comes from doing, even doing badly.
And joy comes from learning, observing small changes.
Two years ago, I pledged to draw a tree per month.
The more I drew, the more I improved.
And so I wrote a book about it.
